Nang makaalis na si Lucy ay tinanggal nya ang kumot sa mukha at tumitig sa kisame. Kung meron lang sanang mga butiki roon ay nakapatay na sya.
When the door opened and closed again ay hindi nya pa rin tinatanggal ang paningin sa kisame.
“Lucy I felt like eating taho…alam mo naman na comfort food ko ‘yun.” sabi nya rito.
“Then I’ll buy you one.” sabi ng isang napakapamilyar na boses.
Napabangon sya at nakita nga ang fly-by-night stranger sa loob ng silid nya.
Nagpalabas sya ng isang naiinis na ungol at nagtalukbong ulit ng kumot.
“Lucy told me you had a virus.” sabi nito.
“Oh! And surprisingly you didn’t know? You were the one who inflicted it!” Sumbat nya dito. “Just go away! I don’t talk to strangers!” Sigaw nya.
Finally! Nakasigaw narin sya ulit.
“You just did, Mia.” anito.
“And I won’t talk to you anymore!”
“And there! You just did it again…” pang-aasar nito sa kanya.
Nanginig sya talaga at marahas na umungol.
Naramdaman nya ang bigat nito nang umupo ito sa gilid ng kama nya.
“Mia…” tawag na naman nito.
No more words for you, Mr. Freakazoid!
Narinig nya ang mga buntong-hininga nito.
“Alright…I know you’re not talking…so I’m taking this as my chance to talk and your chance to listen…” ani Zack.
Mabilis na inilagay nya ang kanyang dalawang kamay sa magkabilang tenga nya.
She stared to hum para hindi niya marinig ang sinasabi nito.
“Lalala…No one’s listening, no one’s listening hahahaha, lalala…No one’s talking, no one’s here in my room but me…lalala.” kanta nya.
“Stop it, Mia.” narining nyang sabi nito.
Kaya mas nilakasan pa nya ang kanyang pagkanta, actually it wasn’t really called singing…she actually sounded like she was wailing!
In the middle of her making noises ay sumigaw din ito.
“I love you, Mia!”
At napahinto siya sa pagkanta sa sobrang gulat.
“Anon’g sabi mo?” tanong nya impulsively.
Biglang hinila ni Zack ang kumot na nakatabing sa kanyang katawan at inihagis sa kabilang kama.
And then their eyes met once more.
“I said…I love you Mia.” sabi nito.
Bigla ay pinanuyuan siya ng laway at hindi makapaniwalang nakatitig lang dito.
She looked at his beautiful face.
The face that she had been cursing for the rest of the week. And those eyes that made her fall in-love.
Binawi nya agad ang tingin dito at tinalikuran ito.
“What’s the fly-by-night thicko who took away my naivety to worldliness doing here?” inis na tanong nya.
“Excuse me? You’re calling me a thicko?…”
“Yes! Angal ka? Would a person in his normal self and with intelligence disappear just like that? Only a thicko would do that.” she was so on for a good word fight with Zack right now.
This is her time to take revenge…kahit sa salita lang.
“Well you can call me anything you like but just so you know? I did not disappear. Dumistansya lang ako kasi akala ko-“
Napabalikwas sya at manghang tinitigan ito.
“Dumistansya? Without a word?” tanong nya.
“Yes without a word because I was just-…I thought-“
“Blah blah blah! You thought what ha? Na inaagaw ko si Rafael, Oh yes I remember…the thicko called me despicable and a home wrecker. How’s that?” Pinandidilatan na nya ito. “And now what you realized…Oh, I’m sorry Mia, I was wrong…I love you…blah blah blah…” she even made faces.
To her surprise ay sobrang natawa si Zack sa kanya.
“I was jealous, I’ve never been jealous my entire life. I was living the kind of life where I have no right to feel jealousy because I have everything…well almost everything. And it’s something new to me and I didn’t know how to handle it,” paliwanag nito, “I thought you felt the same way as Rafael did. I know he likes you and I hate to compete with him. Although I am concerned with Charlize and Rafael, I actually just used that reason para layuan mo si Rafael mismo.”
Inis pa rin na tinutulak nya ito gamit ang kanyang paa para mahulog ito sa kama nya. At nahulog nga ito at napadaing saka hinawakan ang puwitan.
“Hey!” Tawag nito sa kanya. “I just told you I love you and it just seemed like it didn’t mean anything to you?” panggigilalas nito.
“Ah so gusto mo I love you mo lang ay malinis na ang pangalan mo?”
“Alright! What is it that I still have to clear up with you para matapos na ‘to?”
“How about, Mandy?” tanong nya.
She had been dying to know about their real score.
“Well, what about Mandy?” balik tanong nito.
Kinamaohan nya ito.
“Sagutin mo na lang kasi…ikaw ang may atraso eh. Palibhasa kung anu-ano ang iniisip…ayan tuloy you are getting the wrong idea.” gaya nya sa sinabi nito sa kanya noon.
“Sige, tanungin muna kita. Ano ba ang alam mo kay Mandy at sa akin?”
Ngumuso sya.
“Rafael told me she’s your girlfriend.” anya.
“Well, let me just rephrase that…She used to be my girlfriend. We’ve long been over even before we met…so kung iniisip mo na pinagsasabay ko kayong dalawa…you’re wrong.”
Parang naaliw sya sa narinig mula rito.
“Kapal mo ha!” Iningusan nya ito.
“Bakit?”
“Feeling mo naman naging girlfriend mo talaga ako…ano’ng two-time ang sinasabi mo dyan…Eh, ano’ng ginagawa nya sa Hacienda nu’n? Nung…dumating sya?” tanong niya.
“She wanted to win me back…pero…may iba na kasing naka-win ng thump-thump ko eh, and I fell in-love for the first time.” and Zack winked at her.
Pakiramdam nya ay bigla syang naka-recover sa imaginary virus na kunyari ay nakuha nya.
Tumawa ulit si Zack.
“Yung totoo…yung virus na nakuha mo ang pangalan ba…I Love You virus?” biro nito sa kanya.
“Aba masaya ka! Alam mo ang pangalan…nope! Ang tawag dito I Hate You virus!” Bulyaw nya sa mukha nito.
Bigla sya nitong sinunggaban at niyakap.
“Oh! I missed this…” anito. At isiniksik pa nito ang sarili sa kanya.
Naitulak at natapik nya ito, paano ba naman kasi ay sa gitna ng dibdib nya ito sumisiksik.
“Hoy! Feeler ka naman…” at tumayo na sya.
“Where are you going?” tanong nito.
“Cr sama ka?” nakataas ang kilay na sabi niya.
“Pwede ba?” tanong nito.
Binelatan nya ito.
“Nek nek mo!” at tutungo na sana sa loob ng CR nang papasok rin sana ito. Itinukod nya ang kamay sa dibdib nito.
“What’s there to hide?” tanong nito.
Pinamulahan sya ng mukha.
“Ano’ng what’s there to hide? Tae gusto mong makita? Ha?” Ingit nya rito. “Magha-happy poo-poo ako.”
Pinagtawanan nya ang mukha nito.
“Bilisan mo ha, may pupuntahan tayo.” sabi nito.
PINAGBAON siya nito ng mga damit at ilang kagamitan para raw sa pupuntahan nilang lugar. And Zack drove four hours para makarating sila sa isang resort sa Batangas na pag-aari raw ni Van.
It was a beautiful beach resort na sobrang ganda na kung pwede lang sana ay dun na siya tumira.
The room that they chose was the one facing the sea and through the window ay pinapanood nya ang paglubog ng haring araw.
Lumabas sya para mas mapanood ang sunset sa dalampasigan mismo.
Niyakap sya ni Zack mula sa likuran.
“So what do I do to make you say you love me too?” tanong nito.
She just smiled.
“Wala…” pakipot pa nya.
He nibbled her ear.
“Tahooo!”
Madali nyang hinanap ang nagbebenta nu’n.
“Taho!” Tawag nya sa mama na papadaan sa likod nya. Lumapit naman ito.
“Hapon na ata, manong.” dudang tanong ni Zack.
“Oo nga po sir…madalang na po kasi ang bumibili nito ngayon…kuu eh wala lang talagang ibang mapagkikitaan eh..”
“Bilis manong…isang baso po…” excited na sabi nya. Mabilis naman sya nitong binigyan.
“Bibilhin ko na lahat yan manong…pati na yang lalagyan…” at ikinagulat yun ng matanda pero nang bigyan ni Zack ng pera at mabilang nito ay nakangising yumukod ito.
“Salamat sir…” anito.
“Hmmm…ang sarap…miss na miss ko na talaga to…” napapikit pa sya at ninamnam ang pagkain sa taho. “Sarap naman! Salamat at dumaan ka, manong! I love you, manong!” sambit nya.
Dumilim bigla ang hilatsa ng pagmumukha ni Zack at padaskol na binawi ang pera sa matanda.
“Akin na ulit yan Manong…” anito at binigyan lang ito ng isangdaan. “Sa susunod ha ‘wag na kayong dumaan dito, wala pa naman kayong permit…at mag-present kayo ng sanitary certificate ha na malinis yan!” Litanya ni Zack na kulang na lang ay pagsisipain ang dalawang malalaking lata na bitbit ng matanda.
“Naku sir naman…”
“Umalis na nga kayo sa paningin ko manong at baka-“
Tinapik nya si Zack dahil nagtatakbo ang matanda palayo.
“Ano’ng problema mo?”
“Oh? Hindi mo alam?” tanong ni Zack.
Nagi-guilty naman sya at pinaglaruan pa nya ito. Tuloy ang napagbalingan ay ang kawawang matanda.
“Tara na at madilim na…” nauna na itong bumalik sa suite na inuukupahan nya.
Nakangusong sinundan nya ito.
“Hoy! May PMS ka?” tanong nya nang makarating sa silid.
Bugnot ang mukha nitong nilingon sya. Pero hindi sya pinansin…
Tinabihan nya ito sa pagkakaupo sa sofa bed.
It was already too silent when she whispered.
“I love you too…”
Mabilis ang ginawa nitong paglingon sa kanya.
“What’s that again?” tanong nito.
“Ingon nako gihigugma tika!” Sigaw nya sa tenga nito, sa lakas nun ay napapikit ito.
She said that in visayan.
“I can hear you right, you didn’t have to do that.” anito at inalog-alog ang ulo nito.
“You heard it, right? Bakit ko narinig na sinabi mong ‘what’s that again’?” she asked copying his expression.
Bigla naman sya nitong dinamba at pumaibabaw ito sa kanya.
Kinagat nito ang kanyang ilong na wari ay nanggigigil.
And then he showered kisses all over her face.
“I love you.” she finally told him.
She just smiled at him.
She also showered kisses all over his face and he said…
“I love you more…” anito. “ And I promise na hindi na magdududa pa sa’yo…I will only listen to this.” he even touched her chest area.
Kinagat din nya ang matangos nitong ilong.
“Kung saan saan ka na humahawak ha…”
“E di kung saan-saan ka rin humawak sakin para makaganti ka…free of charge..”
“Gusto mo ulit ng sucker-punch?” pananakot nya rito.
“Nope…but this thicko would like to do this…”
HE CLAIMED her lips and through his kisses he made her feel what he really have been longing to make her feel.
“I have a question!” She raised her right hand.
“Hmm?”
“I’m just curious, what do you mean when you said Rafael doesn’t deserve me? Is it because you think I am a home wrecker and despicable?” she asked.
Zack looked at her truthfully.
“No…it’s because I deserve you…”
Sa narinig ay sya na ang humila sa ulo nito para mahalikan ulit nya ito. “And I deserve you too…kahit may pagka-feeler at padalos-dalos ka.” she joked. They both laughed.
They made love the whole night forgetting all about dinner.
She had never felt so happy as she surrendered to him over and over again. With each time they reach the climax, he would look at her in the eyes and tell her how much he loves her.
She doesn’t know the how’s and why’s, she fell inlove with Hazel Eyes…
Zack made her realize that behind his hazel eyes there was so much more about him that he would introduce to her starting today and for the rest of their lives.
MIA WOKE up feeling so sore from their love-making last night, which they did a couple of times… Nakalipat na pala sila sa kama mismo.
Nilingon nya si Zack sa kanyang tabi at hindi napigilan na haplusin ang mukha nito. Napakunot-noo sya nang mapansin ang makislap na bato ng singsing sa kanyang kamay.
She didn’t have any ring on her finger when they came here, and she didn’t have any ring looking like this one…this looks real…as in real diamond…
Napatingala sya sa kisame …meroong nakasulat doon.

Natawa sya…Pinintalan pa talaga ang kisame ng mga salitang ‘yun…
Ibang klase namang proposal ito, parang sakalan ang dating…hindi pa talaga sya tinanong kung papayag ba sya…
Well then it’s a wise idea so that she can’t say no. She really won’t say no…she will never say no…
And she will tell him “yes” in the morning…for now…pinagod sya nito and she deserved some sleep…
